Simple Banana and Nutella Muffins

Welcome back to my little corner of the internet!

Many asked me for the recipe of my banana muffins with Nutella filling.

The recipe is really easy and I usually make them whenever I have overripe bananas oozing in the fruit bowl. You know, when they turn black and you do not want to eat them anymore, that’s exactly the perfect time for using them for cakes and muffins!

In order to cut on waste, I was very happy when I discovered this new world for my black and sad bananas. So, here goes my recipe.


2-3 Black and overripe bananas

1 egg

3/4 cup Sugar

1/3 cup Butter, melted

1.5 cups Flour

1 tsp Baking soda

1 pinch of Salt


Start by preheating your oven at 180ºC (375ºF). In a bowl, whisk the egg, the peeled bananas and the butter.

Add flour, baking soda, salt and sugar. Mix well and pour the mixture into muffin molds, by filling only half of the molds.

Now pour one spoonful of Nutella in every single mold. Cover with cake mixture and bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes.

And your muffins are ready! 🙂
